For those who want to be called gurus in the world of finance, bonds and stocks you name it. It’s that time of the year again for those of you who registered, studied hard and wrote.

Results of June 2018 exams for Level I, II, are out

So did you write the CFA exam? If so, Did you receive your CFA exam results?

Results of the CFA exam for all the candidates have either ‘pass’ or ‘did not pass’. The CFA result also contains the summary of their performance in each topic. Those who did not pass the exam are given a detailed summary of their performance too.

If you had a passing score, congratulations! For you deserve it as it is an enormous achievement and one that you should be very proud of.

 

So what is the CFA exam?

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program is a professional credential offered internationally by the American-based CFA Institute to financial and investment professionals. The program covers a wide range of topics relating to investment, stocks, bonds, derivatives, financial analysis, management, as well as provide a generalized knowledge of other areas in finance.

This is a super tough exam. Most often too many people have to take it more than once. In fact, successful candidates take an average of four years to earn their CFA charter.

These exams are extremely difficult. The barriers to entry are high and for good reason. Some experts in the industry call it the gold standard to weed out the Good from the Best.

Most people reading this will not really understand the level of difficulty. This exam, which asks candidates questions on everything from financial modeling to the ethics of business, is considered one of the most grueling tests in the world. To put in numbers less than 50% of candidates pass each year.

According to reports from one of the successful candidates, 45% of applicants passed the Chartered Financial Analyst Level II exam in June, down by 2% from last year’s 47%. The pass rate for Level I stayed at 43% for a second straight year, that’s according to an email sent to one of those test-takers. Results for the third part of the exam will be released later by the Charlottesville, Virginia-based CFA Institute. For those who wrote fingers crossed because no matter how confident you wrote the CFA exam results are full of surprises.
