It is more widely available than ever before, and even high-end luxury brands are incorporating it into their product ranges.

Cannabis: There are two species of cannabis, Hemp and Marijuana. Hemp has a higher volume of CBD but little to no THC, Marijuana has a higher volume of THC than CBD. 

Hemp: the oil produced from hemp seeds does not contain CBD, raw industrial hemp extra has a low source of CBD oil. Raw PCR hemp extract has high-quality, broad-spectrum produce. CBD: is found in the cannabis plant. CBD does not get you high, and shouldn’t be confused with THC. CBD is short for cannabidiol. Full-spectrum, including THC, is from the whole plant and includes the THC, Broad spectrum is the entire plant with no THC and Isolate is CBD only.

Many people worry that because Hemp and CBD are often associated with sleep that using it during the day will mean that they aren’t as alert. In fact that it might be drowsy. Well, that is simply not the case. There are a few ideas about how CBD can aid your sleep. 

One of the main reasons people can’t sleep has to do with anxiety. At the end of the day, if you are still reeling, and thinking, and getting more worried, you’re never going to be able to settle down. CBD will dampen that stress and anxiety, which will enable you to get to sleep more easily. 

Secondly, as mentioned in the pain section, CBD interacts with our endocannabinoid systems. The series of receptors that are designed to create homeostasis in the following areas – appetite, sleep, memory, mood, and pain perception. Adding CBD or hemp into your diet will aid all of those functions. When our mood is improved, we automatically feel lighter, and the CBD working with our circadian rhythm will help users to nod off. 

A big worry for many is that CBD or hemp will then make you sleepy during the day. Interestingly it won’t. It just doesn’t work that way. CBD is more like an adaptogen. Although it will help calm your mind, and help you focus, it won’t work against you and put you to sleep. 

So to summarise CBD on sleep. CBD and hemp work to decrease stress and anxiety by increasing serotonin. It works with your system to create a more balanced circadian rhythm – focused in the day and relax at night. 

So when it comes to hemp and CBD oil extracts it isn’t about the high (because there isn’t one), it is about the improvements that can be found in general life and the difference a good night sleep and less pain can make.
