Products for Height Growth: Do They Really Work?

In school, we learn about recessive genes and DNA and all of the biological things that determine how our bodies look. All of this information helps us to determine if we will be short or tall, have brown eyes or blue eyes, dark hair or light hair, as well as details such as face shape and body type. Other information that is gained from these classes includes how our bodies grow. We are told that we grow all through adolescence, particularly during puberty. it is common knowledge that a human’s body stops growing between the ages of 18 and 25. Once this age has been reached, a person is as tall as they will ever be. However, this may not necessarily be the case. What if you were told that there is a product that you purchase that will make you taller, would you be interested? Many people are not satisfied with their stature and are always trying to find ways to change their appearance. This is generally done by wearing high heels or certain clothing to make the legs appear longer.

These methods may work to some extent, but at the end of the day, it is still just an illusion. There may be a better way, a permanent way. There are products currently on the market that claim to make a person grow taller, even after the body has stopped its natural growth. The question is, do they really work? This is what will be explored here, what products are available, how do they work, and are they actually effective.

First, let’s talk about the science behind natural human growth. The majority of what determines how tall a person will be is dependent upon genetics passed from both the mother and the father. This makes up for about 65-75% of what determines height. Other factors are environmental, particularly diet. The right nutritional combination during the formative growing years will promote more growth in the average child.

Once a person reaches the age range between 18 and 25, they stop growing. The bones form a sort of cap on their ends when growth is complete. in-between bones, there is cartilage, when a person stretches, this cartilage extends as far as it can, which, for the duration of the stretch, makes the person taller. While in space, astronauts are often up to 2 inches taller than normal because of the lack of gravity keeping the cartilage from being able to remain extended on earth. As a general rule, the height growth supplements for children, provide a specific balance of nutrients that are necessary for a child to grow. The ones marketed for adults, claim to be able to permanently extend the spaces and cartilage in-between the bones, allowing for an adult to become taller.
