If you’re a data junkie or someone who loves sports watches, the Fenix 5 and Garmin 935 watches created by Garmin are the best on the market. Although they are pricey, the kind and amount of technology fitted into these watches justifies the price. They were made to rival the likes of Samsung gear watches, Apple watches and Android wear watches.

If you are trying to pick between the Garmin 935 and Fenix 5, here are a few differences between these watches which you should be aware of.

The Design

Both of these watches are specifically built for sports athletes and these watches are to be used for outdoor activities specifically. However, even if you wear these watches in a formal setting, it will fit your suit and will not look out of place. The Fenix watches used to be very bulky however the Fenix 5 is smaller than the Fenix 3. Still bulky but wearable. It is a 47mm display watch which has prominently displayed screws. It is made out of the signature stainless steel bezel. If you’re looking for a slightly smaller version of this watch, the Fenix 5S version was specifically created keeping women sports athletes in mind. The Fenix 5S has a smaller watch body which fits on smaller wrists. It, however, still has the same features as the Fenix 5. The Garmin 935, on the other hand, has a plastic bezel. The main advantage of this watch is that it is less bully and lightweight to wear. Both of these watches have interchangeable rubber bands and are water proof. However, the Fenix 5 has extra water proofing resistance up to 100m whereas the Garmin 935 has a resistance of up to 50m. Both of these watches have buttons on them and the screen is relatively the same. However, if you’re going to be using a watch in rugged conditions, Fenix 5 should be your choice. The Garmin 935 is lighter and can be worn for everyday use.

Features

Both of these watches have the same features when it comes to outdoor activities. A heart rate monitor, GPS, barometric altimeter, accelerometer, thermometer, etc. All of these features are included in both watches. Both of these watches also contain a fitness tracker. They have such features that will make you forget using your smartphone. In conclusion, both of these watches are the same when it comes to its smart features.

Battery Life

Something that you don’t need to worry about with both of these watches is their battery life. They can last for 23 hours in GPS mode, 60 hours in UltraTrac mode and up to 2 weeks in smartwatch mode. Even if you constantly use all the features on both of these watches including the heart rate monitor and GPS, both of them can last for a very long while.

Price
