Buy a ticket for…. Tuesday
It is difficult to determine which day of the week is best to book flights on and for which day of the week. According to search engines, however, the cheapest flights can be hunted on Tuesday. Why this day of the week? Because most people travel on weekends (the most expensive is on Saturdays).
The earlier, the better
The rule is that it is best to look for low-cost flights about 2-3 months before the planned journey with low-cost carriers, and with traditional ones – about 3-6 months earlier.
It turns out that the greatest chance to hunt for cheap tickets is gained when booking a ticket 56 days before the planned flight. The highest price will usually be paid by booking the ticket on the day of departure.
Avoid high season travel
If you can, avoid travelling in the hottest periods, i.e. during holidays, holidays, long weekends. Then air tickets are the most expensive. If you don’t have to, don’t overpay!
Get rid of cookies
We are, of course, talking about cookies. Refreshing the website will not make the tickets cheaper, but the browsing itself (or, more precisely, the search history that has not been removed) – in some cases, it may affect the price of the tickets. Cookies store information about the websites we visit that may be used by airlines. If you want to hunt down cheap tickets, it is better to delete “cookies”.
Choose morning or night flights
It turns out that the cheapest air tickets will be hunted in the early hours of the morning and during night flights. Most people, however, do not like to get up early in the morning and hurry to the airport or make a night off because of the journey. It’s a pity, because it’s the most friendly option for our wallet.
